That's right. Or write... depending on how you want to look at it. After far too much time on hiatus, I'm back to my writing. The goal is to have at least the first draft of a manuscript finished by mid-December, if not the second draft. I've finally decided which book to focus on next. I'm walking away from my Everyday Princess characters very briefly to focus on a new book with completely new characters.
I've only started to take a good look at the outline, the basic plot, the main characters... the ideas seem to be flowing fairly well. I even have a scene or two started, and as always I have a general idea how it will end. I'm excited to dive into telling Genevieve's story, and letting some of my emotions come out through her, learning the same lessons she'll learn.
Here's the thing though: Genna goes through a phase of some very bad blind dates in attempt to find the kind of love she's been waiting her whole life for, and I don't have a lot of experience with dating as it is. That's where you come in my friends. I want to hear about the worst date you were ever on. It doesn't have to be a first date, or a blind date. And it'd be great if it's something you don't mind my tweaking until it's fictional... but I'd love to have a little bit of you guys in my story with me. Something that you can point at while you're reading it and go, "Hey, that happened to me!" You've all been so great and encouraging as I struggle to finally use my gifts in writing.
