Alright. New Plan.

  Sorry I disappeared for a few days everyone. I would love to tell you I was writing up a storm... and I was writing, but only some wind so far. No true storms. But I realized something after staring at my computer screen Saturday night/morning... or whatever time it was. It was learly, I know that.
  Anyway, I realized that I am not the kind of writer that can type her first draft. No, I'm the kind of gal who has to hand write it. Why this took me so long to understand, especially since this is how I wrote my first book, I'm not sure. I also tend to write like I read. If I get bored, I skip ahead a scene or two, get my interest peaked again and then go back to see how we got to the interesting bit. I know. I am a strange, strange person... but I rather enjoy that about myself.
  Hand writing does mean that I generally don't think about turning on my computer now. And my rather odd writing habits mean no way of keeping you updated on a word count or how many chapters or pages I have finished until I finally type it up... but it's working a lot better for me personally to not be looking at a word count. Instead I'm just focusing on the story and letting my characters talk to me and each other.
  I've been learning some very interesting things about my new characters... their back stories, how they interact with one another and why they say and feel what they do. And they've been talking a lot today already! Sometimes I just write dialogue, realizing that I'll eventually have to go back to fill in thoughts, descriptions, setting, etc. But it comes out. Not at a steady flow quite yet, but a trickle is much better than what I was doing before. Which was almost nothing. :P
  So I'm not sure how exactly I'm going to keep you informed on my progress, but I will definitely still be checking in with you to let you know how I'm doing and what I'm learning... if nothing else I'll need to take a break every now and then before I start second guessing myself too much. Which is what I'm doing now. (Last nights episode of Bones, then back to writing. :D)
  I'm not sure if I'll be typing up what I've hand written at the end of every week, but if that's what I decide to do, then I'll keep you apprised of my word count. And maybe, if I write something I don't hate, I'll post a taste of it on here? But only if you guys are interested...
